Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Blaster Communications Inc. ("BCI," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you purchase our products or use our applications (N.I.I.C., D.E.A.N., S.E.A.N.).

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Information

3. Service Providers (Processors)

We use trusted providers to operate the service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (encrypted cloud database and authentication), and Twilio / SendGrid (message delivery, when you enable alerts). These providers process data only to perform services for us.

4. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Each organization's data is isolated using row‑level security so one organization cannot access another's records. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.

5. Student & Sensitive Data (FERPA)

For school customers using S.E.A.N., student records are entered and controlled by the school. BCI acts as a service provider/processor handling that data on the school's behalf, consistent with applicable education‑privacy laws (e.g., FERPA). BCI does not sell student data or use it for advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain organization data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Upon a verified request, we will delete or return your organization's data, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your organization's data by contacting us. Account administrators control who within their organization can view or change records.

8. Children's Privacy

Our applications are intended for use by organizations and their authorized staff, not for direct use by children. Any student information is provided and managed by the school, not collected from children directly.

9. SMS / Text Message Alerts

If you provide your mobile number and opt in through the Blaster Communications N.I.I.C., S.E.A.N., or D.E.A.N. applications, you consent to receive operational and emergency SMS text alerts from Blaster Communications Inc. Message types include controlled‑substance inventory alerts, student and personnel accountability alerts, emergency and incident notifications, and account or verification messages.

Message frequency varies based on account activity and incidents. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help. You may also contact us at (909) 373‑5665 or bjlaster@msn.com.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers are used solely to deliver the alerts described above and are shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of transmitting these messages. Text‑messaging opt‑in and consent data are not shared with any third parties.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
